To create awareness about the postal service`s role in the everyday life of people and businesses, as well as its contribution to global social and economical development, a group of some students from Cambrian Public School, Kanke Road, Ranchi visited the Post Office (GPO). The group was welcomed by Mr. Sandeep Kumar Mahto, ME/ Incharge Philately Bureau, GPO, Ranchi.  He introduced the Postmaster to everyone and then briefed the students about the glorious history of the Post Office, the previous and present working procedure. He was further joined by other members too along with the Postmaster. Students saw the use of the latest Self Service Kiosks which till date is only in 24 GPOs.  A tour to various departments and chambers were given to the students and at the same time their queries were answered too. The visit was really wonderful and knowledgeable. It was really beyond the imagination as nowadays we use emails and other means of communication.
